I'm Chinese, and I'm sure you all know that Chinese people don't really have hairy faces. I want to have a hairier face. Is it possible? So far, I only have a little bit of mustache like on the sides, and a decent goatee. My dad can grow a mustache and goatee. I don't have hairy sideburns. I do have a lot of thin hair on my face like I can grow sideburns and a beard, but every time I shave them, it grows back thin and not visible to others. Anyway, my main question is-- is it possible for me to grow MORE facial hair (ie. beard) if my family genes in past generations aren't hairy? I read some answers to similar questions, and people said to keep shaving. I shave my goatee and mustache every other day because that's how fast they grow back, but not much of my mustache grows (only still the sides).
Is it possible to grow facial hair if I didn't come from a "hairy" family?
Hair is actually a modified type of skin. Hair grows everywhere on the human body except the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, eyelids, and lips. Hair grows more quickly in summer than winter, and more slowly at night than during the day.
