Do only married Mulsim men have facial hair?

Is it only married Muslim men that have beards and other facial hair. I was under the impression that only married men had beards and such but my "single" friend sportsa wee goatee.. nothing like the older men but nonetheless a beard. Maybe he is lying about being single??

Or can single men have goatees also. Also what is the rule if a female has facial hair can she pluck them out or get waxes. Can women get eyebrow, legs and underarms waxed

If this is not the right place to be asking such a question please direct me in the righht direction to get more accurate information.....

I'm visiting Pakistan next year and dont wanna look ignorant to their ways, so where else can i get cultural information that wont make me look like a tourist.

Would it be considered rude for me to get off the plane with a burka or other facewear on, being a westener?

Okay, here goes...I've learned something new myself!

Its not about whether the men are married or not, the men have facial hair to to follow their Prophet's actions and the teachings of the religion.

Muslim men do shave, since it is generally considered to be virtuous, but not mandatory, to grow a beard.

The men and women are required by the Sunnah to remove their pubic hair and underarm hair.

In Islamic culture, both men and women practice the removal of underarm hair for reasons of cleanliness.

However, any kind of modification to the eyebrows is prohibited, even removing hair from in between linked eye-brows as its considered it to be changing the creation. It is only allowed if a woman's husband regards her with extreme repugnance due to her eyebrows as a muslim woman must beautify herself for her husband.

However, they have permitted the removal of hair for women from the chin and above the upper lip (if a beard or a mustache develops), since this is to avoid resembling men.

As for wearing facewear, I wouldn't know, you're better off asking a muslim.
