I have really bad facial hair and i've been waxing/bleaching for about six years...?

i just got done waxing it...and it's tough!! i mean, it's easier to wax my eyebrows because the hair comes off during the first try...with my upper lip, i gotta do it at least three times on one spot...i think shaving would be easier...and i might actually be more comfortable with that until i have the money to get it permanently removed..but i'm worried...how many women actually shave their upper lip? and how often do they have to do this? does it irritate? and how to most men feel about this?? my boyfriend knows about my facial hair and he tells me he doesn't notice...but i'm still worried...and tired of waxing and bleaching in between...help!!!

Do you have a boyfriend? I'd be so embarrassed to kiss mine if I'd just had a shave!! Keep at the waxing and bleaching... shaving isn't good for your face, as proved by men with acne-beards!

Listen ..Shave it if you need to..You dont have to tell anyone or do it in front of anyone ..If it works then do it..Remember when you shave it you will get a smooth effect for most of the day so stop worrying and do whatever it takes to make you feel well..Let it be your secret and yours alone..Good luck..

Ignore those other answers..Acne has nothing to do with shaveing..You can see the difference with the female answers and mine...They are over reacting as usuall..

DO NOT SHAVE...

there's this thing called: gentle, soothing hair remover. it smells bad, but it works like a charm.

My best friend used to have the same complaint. She learned how to do threading and I would recommend it to you, too. I personally don't know how to do it.. but it seems to be a better alternative which doesn't irritate skin. It can be done at any time and even on shorter hairs and only requires normal, cotton, sewing thread! No expensive creams etc.

You could look up a place where it's done near you and try to learn how. Or you could google it.

How hairy are you? You may not even need to wax. I just used an electric shaver made for facial hair. Then, I get a compact and tweeze out the few dark hairs left behind. I do this daily and it takes less than 30 seconds. It is not noticable to anyone.
